Yoga-Health is a synthesis of gentle Yoga PLUS recent discoveries of
stress-relief technologies such as Feldenkrais, Alexander and Bioenergetics as
well as Pilates-type movements which trim the mid-section and strengthen the
lower-back. (Interestingly, many are initially from Yoga.)
What this means is that instead of straining and sweating for several weeks
in classical Yoga, you can experience instant results in terms of flexibility
and stress-reduction simply, easily and without straining.
30 minutes classes (Queensland only) are $10
60 minutes classes (QLD) are $15 for your first trial class, after which $15 per class times the amount of classes left until the end of the term.
(eg. If five classes left, the cost will be $75.) Pay as you go casual classes are at $18 per class.
90 minutes classes (WA) are $17 for your first trial class, after which $17 per class times the amount of classes left until the end of the term.
(eg. If five classes left, the cost will be $85.) Pay as you go casual classes are at $20 per class.
For those who have attended for three consecutive years the cost for the term is only $120 flat fee. (Payable first day of term)
Bring something to lie on - an exercise mat, if you have one, or a couple
of blankets.
Bring an empty tummy - no food for an hour and a half beforehand!
Please shower and clean teeth before class. Do not wear
strong perfumes or anti-perspirants.
Do remember to turn off your mobile phone before class!
No problem! About a third of our students are referred
by doctors, physiotherapists or chiropractors.
We have a lot of success with such things, as well as arthritic conditions, hormonal imbalances and headaches.
Do inform your instructor though, so we can keep a special eye on you.
Yes of course. Yogahealth does lend itself well towards pregnancy as it is gentle and nurturing while strengthening and relaxing.
Movements can be adapted to suit your growing belly and changing needs. Be sure to either download the "Guidelines for Pregnancy"
here or ask your instructor for a copy. We recommend that pregnant women join after the first trimester (12 weeks)
unless discussed with your doctor first. If your doctor has any queries, they are welcome to call us to discuss any issues further or
simply direct them to this website.
Classes are easy and gently respectful of all students, irrespective of age,
weight or fitness levels. In fact, if you are not fit and flexible, you will be
even more delighted at the changes in your body after a single class!
You can see a list of all our public classes in Queensland here
and WA classes here. You can come along at any time - no need to wait until the beginning of term
If you have a lime-green tutu with matching flippers...No, seriously though,
you can wear anything that you feel comfortable in and that does not restrict
your movements. In winter, it is usually a track-suit and just shorts and
t-shirt in summer.
We do maintain a secure database of our current students. We use this to help
us plan our classes. For example, if you fill out your form and tell us that you
have a shoulder problem, then we will schedule some shoulder releases for you
during the class. Added to this, we are always researching new methods of
healing injured bodies. If we discover something of use to you, we will either
email you or give you the information in class.
In any of our new Sunshine Coast classes, yes you can.
In WA some of our classes are currently full. Easiest way to check is to email us
here.
Specify which class(es) interest you.
You can begin at any time. Each class stands on its own. Be
aware that we run with the school terms. (and lie down in the holidays!)
You can click HERE
and try out a four minute shoulder release while sitting at your computer!
