Teachers.....

Practised classical yoga styles for over 10 years and was amazed to discover
YogaHealth made me feel fantastic with much less effort and no aching muscles the next day. A friend once asked why
I wasn't a teacher and I couldn't think of a good reason why not so did the training in 2004.
Teaching yoga is a world away from my ten years as an Events Coordinator, very rewarding and a great lifestyle.

I started doing yoga while stressed-out studying in year 12.
I found YogaHealth's approach appealing because it is a great way to relax both the mind and body; it's like a moving meditation and it helped
to soothe my anxiety and tension. I became a teacher because I loved it so much I wanted to learn more, and now I find that teaching yoga
is a rewarding vocation because people enjoy coming to class.

As a busy mum of 2 young children I was looking for a class that would get me back in shape, help my lower back pain and provide some relaxation and stress relief.
One class of YogaHealth and I was hooked and my lower back has thanked me!

Some time ago I came to know about YogaHealth. The unique style of this type of yoga impressed me tremendously
and it became a beginning of a lot of changes in my life. I could not believe that I would feel any difference in my mind and body after the very first lesson,
but this is exactly what happened. The amazement at the results produced by an hour and a half class inspired me to devote and commit myself to regular
yoga practice. And now I am a yoga instructor!

Curiosity drove me to try yoga. Curiosity led me to the teacher training program.
However, it is an innate desire to share information, to be of service to others and to improve my own practice of yoga that sees me teaching.
I am, only, able to do this with the support and guidance from YogaHealth.

Following a major lower-back operation at the age of 42 I took up YogaHealth.
Not only did I stage a remarkable come back but now I have the flexibility that I once enjoyed as a 20 year old, and I have resumed a very active lifestyle of jogging, abseiling and mountain biking.
All of this plus regular de-stressing from only one class per week of YogaHealth. Finally I could not resist - I had to know more and became an instructor.

I suffered chronic back pain since my teenage years. I discovered YogaHealth and have experienced better back health in the past 5 years than in the previous 25.
Having been a trainer with Telecom, the Small Business Development Corporation and PD in government agencies for 20 years, I became committed to the principles of YogaHealth
and took the opportunity to undertake the Teacher Training.
I enjoy the ability to pass on some of the health and mind benefits and of challenging students to view themselves and their health habits in a different way.

I have been practicing Yoga for the past 8 years but came to YogaHealth only in 2007.
YogaHealth in a relatively short time gave me the stress relief and pain relief to my body after years of back, neck and shoulder pain acquired from state level Gymnastics.
Already a qualified Children's Yoga teacher, I decided to branch out of my comfort zone to teaching adults.
Although daunting at first, it has given me a new confidence in myself and a move in a new and exciting personal and professional direction.

From a very early age I have been passionate to learn more about health and personal development. This has lead me to travel to various countries, spending valuable time
learning from native Shamans about their herbal health remedies. I also spent an insightful 2 weeks in the Amazon Rainforest with a group of Medical Practitioners visiting remote villages and assisting them with their health.
Yoga has certainly been part of my life in personal health and peace of mind. Over the years I tried various types of yoga and never really stuck with one before.
Becoming a Yogahealth teacher has been one of the best things in my life - I'm doing something I love, my confidence has grown and now I can share the experience. Thank you!

I was a busy mum with two babies when I realised one day that I wasn't breathing. I wasn't consciously taking it in and letting it out.
So I began to breathe in the midst of my busyness and it slowed things, made me more present, less robotic. It was a simple change but it was transformative. That was the beginning of my yoga journey.
